Nuvue vs GoHighLevel for medical device companies

GoHighLevel does more than most people assume and costs less than anything else on this page. The question is what it was built to do, and whether that is the part of your sale that needs fixing.

Who each is for

A tool built for agencies, doing an agency's job.

GoHighLevel is capable, and the shape of it tells you who it is for. The plans are counted in client sub-accounts, and the upper tiers exist so an agency can put its own logo on the software and resell it. It is very good at what agencies are hired to do: run ads, capture a lead, drip email and text at them, book the appointment, ask for the review. For a med spa or a clinic filling a calendar, that is the whole business, and the price makes it hard to beat.

A device sale does not end at a booked appointment, it starts there. Somebody stands in front of a surgeon, presents clinical evidence, leaves something behind, follows up through a committee, and then supports theatre staff for years after the purchase order. Nuvue is built around that: the presentation is made in the system, brand locked and working on any screen, organized by sales stage, with a portal for the customer afterwards. That is the Win Engine and the Grow Engine, sitting on a CRM small enough that reps actually open it.

The actual comparison

Two different halves of a sale

GoHighLevel is built to get a stranger to raise their hand. Nuvue is built for what happens after that, when a rep has to present, prove and support. There is less overlap here than the feature lists suggest.

What a rep sends

A funnel page is not a presentation

GoHighLevel builds pages for strangers arriving from an ad. It has nothing for the room.

Their page builder is good, and it is built for one job: one message, one call to action, a form at the bottom. That is the right shape for a lead magnet and the wrong shape for a device presentation, which is an argument delivered in sequence, with clinical evidence, adapted to the account, and left behind afterwards.

Nuvue assembles that from approved modules, brand locked, readable on a phone in a corridor, filed by sales stage so the rep finds it the night before. That is the Win Engine.

After the sale

The closest anything here gets

GoHighLevel has courses, memberships and gated client portals natively, with drip content. Of everything we compare against, this is the nearest thing to a Nuvue portal, and it would be dishonest to file it under what they cannot do.

Two differences decide it. You build it and you maintain it, including producing the content. And a Nuvue portal is organized by tag rather than by course: buy a system, and your theatre staff are invited into a gated space holding the training for that equipment, still current when new staff arrive two years later. That is the Grow Engine, and the content in it is built by our team.

The honest trade

What you give up

Marketing automation. Their core. Nuvue has no equivalent and is not building one.

Email, SMS and calling. GoHighLevel sends and dials. Nuvue does neither.

Landing pages and funnels. A whole capability we do not have.

Price. GoHighLevel is a fraction of the cost. What that price does not include is anyone to build the content, which is the part most teams are actually short of.

What you get in return is narrow and specific: the presentation, the brand control on it, the content filed by how a device is sold, and a team who builds and maintains it. If your gap is filling the funnel, GoHighLevel is the better buy. If your gap is what happens once a rep is in the room, it does not address it.

Questions buyers actually ask

Before you decide

Is GoHighLevel a real alternative to Nuvue?

For part of the job, yes, and more of it than we expected before we looked properly. GoHighLevel has pipelines, a page builder, automation, two-way SMS, calling, and native courses and memberships. If what you need is to generate leads and follow up with them automatically, it does that well and it does it cheaply. What it has no version of is the presentation a rep gives, which for a device company is the centre of the sale rather than an accessory to it.

Where does GoHighLevel beat Nuvue?

Several places, and it is worth listing them plainly. Marketing automation, which is their core and which we do not attempt. Email and SMS campaigns, where they send and we do not. Landing pages and funnels, which they build and we do not. Automated sequences, where theirs run on a schedule and our playbooks recommend timing for a rep to act on. Reviews and social scheduling, which we have nothing comparable to. And price, by a wide margin.

GoHighLevel starts at $97 a month. Why would we pay more than that?

Because the price is not comparing the same thing. GoHighLevel is software you are handed. Somebody on your team, or an agency you pay separately, has to build the funnels, write the automations, produce the content and keep it current. Nuvue includes the creative team that builds your presentations and portals and maintains them as products change. If you already have people who will do that work, GoHighLevel is genuinely cheaper and we would not argue otherwise. If the honest answer is that nobody has time, the software cost was never the real number. Our pricing is on the pricing page.

GoHighLevel has client portals. Is that not the same thing?

It is the closest anything in this comparison gets, and we should say so. GoHighLevel hosts courses and memberships with drip content and gated access, so you could build customer training in it. Two differences. You build and maintain it, including the content itself. And it is course-shaped rather than device-shaped: a Nuvue portal is organized by tag, so when a hospital buys a system its theatre staff are invited into a gated space holding the training for that equipment, and new staff joining two years later see the current version. Same mechanism, different job.

Can GoHighLevel build our sales presentations?

It can build web pages, which is not the same thing. A funnel page is designed for a stranger arriving from an ad: one message, one action, one form. A device presentation is a structured argument a rep walks a surgeon through, then leaves behind, with clinical evidence and the parts of the story that matter to that account. Nuvue builds that from approved modules, brand locked, working on a phone in a corridor. There is no equivalent object in GoHighLevel.

Our marketing agency runs GoHighLevel for us. Does that change the comparison?

It is the most common way MedTech teams end up on it, and it changes what you are actually choosing between. The agency owns the account, the build and usually the content. Nuvue is bought by you and the system is yours. Plenty of teams keep both: the agency keeps running acquisition in GoHighLevel while the sales content and customer portals live in Nuvue. That means two systems, and whether it is worth it depends on how much of your selling happens in a room rather than in an inbox.

Does Nuvue integrate with GoHighLevel?

No. There is no data connection between Nuvue and an outside CRM. If you are running GoHighLevel and want to keep it, the two would run side by side.

Our reps have a CRM already and barely open it. Would Nuvue be different?

We hear that constantly, and the reason is usually the same. A platform built to do everything asks a rep to learn a lot before it gives them anything. Nuvue's CRM is deliberately the simplest one on this page: device sales stages, contacts, deals, and the content they need for tomorrow. Reps open it because the presentation is in there, and the record updates from what they were doing anyway. We cannot promise adoption, but we can take away the reason people avoid it.
